The soundscape in Empty Airports is dragged more toward electronica compared to their earlier releases. By using new synth effects and a new drumkit, they’re expanding their definition of minimalism. An atmospheric and massive expression pushes the super duo near a soaring ambient scenery. The songs are inspired by and belongs somewhere between Thom Yorke, Ashra, Nils Frahm, King Crimson in the 80s, John Hopkins and Steve Reich.
